Insurance benefits are different depending on your policy and can often be confusing. Dr. Shapiro is a Board-Certified psychiatrist in NYC and is considered an “out-of-network” provider. This means that he does not work with insurance companies directly.

Most of Dr. Shapiro’s patients have out-of-network insurance benefits. This means that they may receive a partial reimbursement after they have met a deductible. Payment is rendered at each session and Dr. Shapiro is happy to help you in accessing your out-of-network benefits by providing you with statement that documents the session, the fee, and the services provided.
